US missile stockpile is running out, former Pentagon adviser warns

The US missile stockpile is running out fast — such is the warning of former Pentagon adviser Douglas McGregor. In a post given on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote, "We can only fight for 8 days, then a situation of using nuclear weapons may arise.

McGregor also said, we have reached a point where combat capability is limited. If we do not stop sending weapons abroad now, the United States will be in great danger.

The comments come as President Donald Trump announced a new massive shipment of US weapons to Ukraine.

Russia has repeatedly complained that the long-range weapons that Western countries are providing to Ukraine are being used to target civilians on Russian territory. They have also complained that peace efforts are being hindered.
