China made new technology military radar

China Electronics Technology Group Corporation or CETC, a well-known Chinese company in defense technology, has developed a new radar system. According to the Chinese state-owned company, this type of radar is the first in the world in terms of technology.

The YLC-2E radar developed by CETC's 14th Institute in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province was displayed at this year's 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition. According to the agency, this is China's new hardware for detecting stealth aircraft or fighter jets that evade conventional radar.

Institute researcher Cheng said the S-band multifunctional radar has advanced technology and can detect and track stealth fighter jets. It is also capable of guiding the missile towards the target.

S-band radio waves are a type of wavelength used for everything from air traffic control radar to Wi-Fi.

Researcher Cheng said YLC-2E features a modular design, world-class hardware and intelligent algorithms, so its detection ability is also excellent. He also said that the radar system consists of a high power transmitter and receiver module set.

Cheng said it uses sophisticated algorithms that improve the system's overall tracking ability and can even outsmart electronic jamming systems.
