Covered to the lower class is like being forced to sleep in the same bed with a loathsome partner. It is covered for the rich to buy expensive prostitutes and sleep in one bed.
Dhaka is a cruel city. Where everyone has to be piled up. Again, this Dhaka feels most helpless during the Eid holidays. Then everything is not available for a normal job. People don't like Dhaka. Dhaka also does not accept people. Capital has very little emotional attachment with people from all over the country. Among the many reasons for this, two main factors to note are one social, the other political.
A major social factor is the inhuman pressure of Dhaka's rent and customs. Which is prevalent in this era instead of the old zamindar system. 60% of income has to be spent to ensure people's accommodation here. The cost of the remaining 5 needs should be limited to 40% of food, clothing, medical treatment, education and entertainment. That's why Grameenphone's music is so popular among people. With so many arrangements, people can't think of Dhaka as another home even from Dhaka. That is why Dhaka is a helpless city at special times.
Meanwhile, another major political reason is to keep Dhaka heavily centralized. Pushing civic amenities into dire mismanagement. A futile attempt to provide civic benefits to nearly 5 crore people by replacing at least 4 city corporations with two weak city corporations. If you want to get good services according to your needs from any region of Bangladesh, you have to come to Dhaka. Be it good treatment, good livelihood, good education, good clothing, good entertainment etc. Also, if you have to run through any bureaucratic hassles and paperwork, you have to run to Dhaka. That is why Dhaka is the best in every list of ineligible cities. So Dhaka is an inhumane city.
